On Thursday August 21, The Newbold Town Lakes Committee will host a guest speaker, Patrick Goggin. The meeting is at the Newbold Town Hall at 5:30PM.
The TLC is comprised of representatives from the five organized lakes within the township. Newbold has 115 lakes and only 5 have formal associations. An association brings people together for the betterment of their individual lakes through education and networking with their neighboring lakes.

He works for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources and the University of Wisconsin-Extension Lakes out of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Service Center in Rhinelander.
Some of the topics to be addressed are: Why lake organizations? Types of lake organizations, Themes explored by lake organizations as well as resources to help your group succeed.
Combining vast knowledge, sincere concern for our lakes and a warm sense of humor, Patrick Goggin is sure to educate and entertain all that attend this presentation. People from all lakes, whether in or out of the town of Newbold, are strongly encouraged and welcomed to attend. Make sure to put Aug 21 on your calendar!
